More like a light strong ale than an IPA. Very noticeable oaked aspect. Malt flavor is remiscent of grahams and pie crusts, along with some toasty cereal malts. Herbal hoppiness, with some vanilla and wood. Interesting, but not overly unique.

Mountain Brewers Beer Fest 2006. Lack of appearance judging reflects opaque plastic sampling cup. light straw/cereal with light grassy aroma. Very noticable oak flavor, like burbon. Interesting beer, but not really an IPA?
