Commercial Description:
Enough of these and you may find cause to celebrate. Bumping the legal limit for alcohol percentage in Tennessee, this one is a bit of a hop bomb. Not quite as explosive as a western double IPA, this one nonetheless packs an impressive punch both in malty background and upfront hop presence. Were it not for the richness of the 100% English Marris Otter base malt, this beer would be all about the signature Centennial Hops. Instead expect citrusy grapefruit, and lesser mint and pine hops flavors to combine with the roasty notes of the base malt and the minor chocolate notes of the cara-munich malt. Perfect for wet, cold winter evenings, this one will warm your bones and free your soul.

Source: 22oz bottle purchased from Green Life grocery in Chattanooga.
Appearance: Clear gold/amber color with a one finger off white head. High amount of lacing.
Aroma: Faint citrus hops with cereal and grain.
Flavor: The flavor wasn’t terrible. A solid malt base, with a faint resin in the middle and a bit of bitterness at the end.
Palate: Medium body with soft carbonation and a plain mouthfeelt.
Overall: In the grand scheme of things this isn’t a very good IPA. Hops aren’t terribly prevalent, and the malt was very bland. I’m thinking this may have been an extract brew.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Not enough hops in the aroma. What we do have is a weird sour thing going on. The flavor is more forgiving only because of the more pronounced Centennial hop character. Pine and citrus are apparent. The sweetness here is weirdly fruity, almost like banana. The finish is plastic. Probably won’t be getting this one again.

Bomber, shared by NachlamSie. Aroma is citrus hops, autolyzed yeast, and a touch of lemon bread. Flavor is pretty decent hop bitterness, orange and lemon, but a very unfortunate amount of band-aid like autolyzed yeast. Not too good.

New rating for Noogfest High 5. The beer was a little brighter and more enjoyable for me. Old rating follows. Tap at the brewery. The body was dark amber colored. The aroma was grapefruit and grass. The taste was bitter with some bread crust and grass. A decent brew, but a little boring.

Mandarin orange hops. Slightly sweet body. Could use a little more malt backbone. Kind of toasty in the finish. Not a bad APA.

Brownish tan, small beige head. Mellow aroma of floral and citrusy hops. smooth at first, with a nice hop bite - very floral and citrusy, just like the aroma. some nice winey notes at the finish. Very tasty. Sampled at the 2008 open house.

Appearance: Pours a rather hazy, copper body with a bubbly, white head. Smell: Aroma smelling heavily of citrusy hops and spice with some sweetish notes of melted honey candies. Taste: Honey and light caramel maltiness. Slightly tangy. Dash of grain water. Citrus hops, a bit resiny. Moderate bitterness. Dry, bitter finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Mild carbonation. Drinkability: A decent IPA.
