Commercial Description:
Juniper Pale Ale. A popular light offering characterized by a “gin” bite and flavor and a floral aroma. Yakima valley finishing hops and juniper berries are utilized to create a medium to light bodied golden ale with a crisp finish. Enjoy it under a pine tree. Meant for chicken, salad, or as a counterpoint to a cream sauce.

Brewpub sample. Poured cloudy gold with a lacing white head. Aroma is sweet, floral, and pine. Taste is a little hoppy, with plenty of pine and floral notes, as with the aroma. Another unique brew from Moccasin. Body is middle of the road, with average carbonation. Finish is sweet and a little bitter.

Draft sample at brewery. Slight hazed golden with a white head that settled to a ring and left light lace. Floral aroma with light pine. The flavor found more floral and pine with a light backing of citrus and malt. Light to medium body and light bitterness.

Pale golden yellow with a substantial white head. Aroma is light veggies, juniper, pine, sweet malts. Taste is more balanced juniper on top of the light malt fruitiness. I like this.

Aroma:Slightly vegetal, with some juniper and a hint of citrus.
Flavor:Malty, with citrus and juniper in the finish.
Palate:Medium body with solid carbonation.
Overall:Not very good, but worth the tick.

Bomber split with NachlamSie. Pours yellow with whitish head. The aroma is steamed carrots, juniper, some pretty unpleasant veggies, orange peel, and some cucumber. The flavor is better, with notes of light malt, some fruity hops, and noticeable juniper. There is some organic plantiness to the finish. Questionable beer.

Bomber shared by Tronraner. Pours a light gold, just barely hazy. Smells bad. Smells like boiled carrots, eggs, hay, vegetation, and there is finally a dry juniper note. I’m really dreading the flavor, but I find it to be forgiving. It is vegetal and spiced, but reasonable. Hints of yams, mild bitterness, accessible esters, and a finish of weak gin. This is fair, though smells awful.

Tap at the brewery. My favorite from these guys. The body was deep gold to amber. The aroma was berries with some grapefruit. The taste was bitter grapefruit with a little bit of blueberry. A sweet finish.
