Commercial Description:
Juniper Pale Ale. A popular light offering characterized by a “gin” bite and flavor and a floral aroma. Yakima valley finishing hops and juniper berries are utilized to create a medium to light bodied golden ale with a crisp finish. Enjoy it under a pine tree. Meant for chicken, salad, or as a counterpoint to a cream sauce.

On tap at the brewery 5/31/08: Pours a cloudy golden with a spotty-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale malts and some floral piny juniper notes. Has an average fullness with a light toasty pale sweetness and a drier finish. Pretty well-balanced, unique and quite drinkable.

Can... Hazy, straw-colored ale with no head. The nose is mainly clover honey and pale malts. Perfectly balanced flavor. A touch tangy, but mostly nondescript. Light-bodied and watery with medium carbonation. Crisp, clean finish. Thanks to goldtwins for sending the can my way!

on tap-pours a rich white head and hazy pale yellow color. Aroma is floral/spice hops, secondary light malt. Taste is floral/spice hops-some bite, secondary sweet light malt. Easy.

Tap at the brewery. My favorite from these guys. The body was deep gold to amber. The aroma was berries with some grapefruit. The taste was bitter grapefruit with a little bit of blueberry. A sweet finish.

Poured a hazy amber color with an off-white head. I personally didn’t get much juniper out of this. Aroma and flavor of light semi-sweet malt, light citrus. Kind of grainy.

Smells a bit like Gin, was one might expect. also has just a touch of juniper flavor at first, before morphing into a more traditional Pale Ale finish. Rather uniqu and enjoyable, would make a good session ale. Sampled at 2008 open house.

Appearance: Pours an exceptionally cloudy, turbid, gold body with a small, fizzy, white head. Smell: Pale malts and a vague wheat cracker character. Mild juniper note in the slightly yeasty scent. Taste: Pale malts with a slight sugary sweetness. Again, I can’t shake that tangy wheaty taste. Fruity, with delicate tastes of peach and apple juices. Hint of juniper. Light citrus hops with a restrained bitterness. Crispy, floral finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: It’s alright.
