White head, brown beer. Head quickly subsides to leave a rather uncarbonated looking brown liquid. Initial flavour impression is a surprise, not cheap sweetness. In fact quite an attenuated thin mouthfeel as if it has been brewed out too far. Some harsh tar like quality which might be a facet of buckwheat. Not unpleasant; doesn’t drink its strength.
