12 oz bottle, very nice deep red color yet very transparent with decent tan head. Dominant aroma is the sweet roasted malts. Flavor is sweet, nutty malts. Body is solid, actually has the body of a heavier beer with a higher alcohol content than 5.2. Overall a good dunkel, another good beer from christian moerlein.

got this guy from alexsdad06. Thanks man! Pours a dark ruby with a small off white head. Up front malt and grain aroma. Flavor is lots of malts, very sweet. Some grain and caramel round it out. Finishes sweet, interesting.

Picked up a 6’er for the Euro Cup, congrats Spain. Barbarossa is copper in color. When I poured this beer in to a Lager glass it formed a nice two-finger head. The head had a tan color to and it laced well ,however it did diminish to a thin sized head before I made it halfway through the beer. The aromas featured roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. The flavors included chocolate, a bit of smokiness, some grain and nuttiness ,but the roasted malts are the major players. Overall it was a good representative of Christian Moerlein. I only wish that I slowed down a bit and saved at least one of the six for after the game.

Pours brown in color with some reddish undertones. Slight head when poured, but disappears shortly after. Smell is all malt and that distinctive lager smell. Taste is much the same, but I get a little sweetness and some tobacco/smoke flavors as well. Medium to full on the mouthfeel and creamy. This is a nice addition to the CM lineup.
