They try and call this an English Pale Ale to cover up the fact that the hops are slim to none, however even some fuggles would brighten this baby up. Their beers are extract brews, I guess the instructions didn’t mention "Hops not included) Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 20, 2005 On draught at the casion, 5/18/2005. This is the Spring seasonal (they have four seasonals). An English Pale ale hopped entirely with fuggles. Dark amber-orange-golden color, moderate amount of white head, decent retention, light lacing. Aroma of diacetyl, sugary base malts, light caramel and fruity yeast. Flavor starts out with some zip from the hops, quite fruity, little bit dirty and has a fair amount of bitterness. Diacetyl takes over and the body is medium-full with a creamy texture. Buttercream flavor, creamy texture, light hops apparency, bit of fruity yeast and earthiness. Hmmm, I’m impressed (little too sweet though).
