Pours a nice glowing orange yellow with some yeasty sediment bits floating around and a fluffy sudsy white head. Smell was muted, but pleasant enough. Flavour was tart, sweet, sour, hints of grass, dandelion, some white wine characteristics. The finish was surprisingly bitter and the hops were very well balanced. Alcohol at 7.5% but if I were drinking it blind I would have guessed a 5%. Body and flavour shows a nice complexity and a depth that certainly stood out. This is what you might call the Sunday brunch Saison. vikingbeercbus (34), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2008 On tap at the Sunswick in Queens.I need to preface this with the fact that Saison is not my favorite style of beer. This poured a golden amber. The nose was a bit spicy and yeasty, very pleasant. The flavor followed similarly and had a spicy finish to it. I have to say I enjoyed it more than just about any other saison I have had. Cabeero (15), Thornton, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2008 The best Saison I have tried in America. An absolutely killer appearance. The quintessential photographic beer. A medium, creamy, and mostly lingering head. Carbonation the dances on the sides of the glass, and a rich two-tone golden color that is hazy yet bright and sparkling. The head mellows into a wonderful, meadow of froth, with small hills and valleys. A few particles of yeast are present as well. Flowery and citrus hop notes intermingle with bananas and caramel. The aroma seems to swirl in around in my nose, with different notes taking the lead on every inhalation. The flavor is well balanced, slightly sweet, slightly sour, and slightly bitter. Maybe just a tiny bit metallic. The finish is sour. Bhops (334), Dallas, Texas, USA

Some laceworks on the glass. Fruity nose with hints of spices. Taste of sweet riped oranges with a dash of yeast beneath. A bit too sweet (Thanks to Finn Arvid for sharing, 02.08.2008).
