Classic cloudy bright orange-golden with a thick, billowy white head. Spiciness, clove, banana and fresh grassy hops in the nose. Flavor has notes of orange, honey, zesty lemon, grass/hay, light sweet caramel, clove, banana, light pepper and coriander. Very well-balanced - less hop bitterness/emphasis than with Saison Dupont. Perfect, medium body with spritzy, fine-beaded carbonation. I enjoyed this while grilling on a sunny spring day; doesn’t get any better than that.

Draft. Deep amber in the glass witha sticky head. Womnderful floral aromas with a little bubblegum, a lot of delicate caramel and yeasty esters. Honey and cloves. Creamy on the palate with a lasting, spice-driven finish. Hops are present but not overbearing. Fabulous stuff.

Rating for Dupont Foret

Pours a light-hazed, gloden/amber (sediment joining late) under a huge & rocky white head with longevity. Yeasty aroma with barnyard (horses) and honey, lemon, sharp hops, bile, pepper, light metallics. Creamy mouth leads to a spicy, dry finish. Flavor is quite nice with a ripe fruitiness joining with the best sensations from the aroma: honey, citrus, pepper, yeasts. I feel guilty drinking this on a day when my wife has to work... I think she might enjoy this one.

750 ml. bottleHazy gold, medium to large white head of loosely structured foam that collapses to a thin white layer in a few minutes. Yeast, honey, apricot, orange rind in a very nice aroma. Lively effervescence, light to medium body, and a clean mouthfeel. Some sourness and acidity over a very minimal light sweetness, finishing with a pleasing herbal bitterness. Very nice, refreshing, drinkable, another winner from Dupont.

Mass tasting on this one. Liked the herbal flavor but didn’t get much citrus.

2006 bottle at Marseille in Manhattan, NYC. This has to be the best organic brew I’ve had and I actually enjoy it more than Saison Dupont even though its not as well balanced. This quality makes it more interesting IMHO as I sense some pine and strong floral flavors, with a good smack of yeast, a nice touch of barley in here, and peppery citrus. It is not a velvety as Saison Dupont (tad bit rougher) but it still has a good amount of carbonation. Excellent nose of citrus and peppery tones!

Bottle. Snowwhite high good-looking creamy long lasting head. Hazy light orange body with a good deal of yeast sediments. Weak fuity aroma. Heavily carbonated dry and hoppy flavor with a long aftertaste. I would never have guessed the alcohol percentages.

Sampled this as Dupont Foret at the Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Friday Evening Beer Tasting. Pours a golden blonde brew with a thick creamy fast dissolving head. Aroma has a lot of citrus, tangy fruit, yeast, and white pepper. Taste is tangy and yeasty with some earthy aftertaste.
