| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jul 4, 2006 I like the Foret label better than the crappy Moinette one shown on this page. And by the way, wtf? This is sold in the states as Foret, at least right now on this very day, so why the change of label on the RB site? Not to be all US-centric or anything, but I can’t imagine the beer I had tonight was so out of date that I got an old label. maybe RB should file this under Foret and not Moinette Biologique. Anyway, excellent beer. Musty, yeasty, almost rotten, but in an oddly good way. Plenty of wood tones in the nose and flavor. Aftertaste is sourdough. Exemplary example of a kickass Belgian. moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 23, 2006 "Not one of my favorite brews, that is for sure. This saison pours a murky yellow color with a nice white head. The head has decent retention and decent lacing. The aroma is lightly fruity, but the spices overtake that easily. The flavor is the same. The spicey flavors come through just fine, but you really don’t get much else. I think this beer is too one dimensional. Reminds me of a weak version of Avery’s White Rascal." bgoguen (53), Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jun 8, 2006 I had the bottle when it was called Foret. Excellent saison that doesn’t overpower with spices. Great flavors and aromas. I don’t know if the Moinette Biologique is the same. I’ll have to get a bottle and see. If it is the same then I would recommend to anyone. I liked this one better than the their Vieille farmhouse ale. loseratheart (110), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2006 2004 bottle. hazy golden color with awesome white head. Head does not go away and leaves a thick lacing to the glass. Aroma is that of spicy hops and a little fruit. Hint of malts at most, goes down smooth with a dry finish.
