Lunkie (1006), Glen Iris, Australia Jun 19, 2008 Sweet floral fruit malt aroma. Murky yellow colour with good head and lacing. Sweet stone fruit malt flavour. Smooth palate.
SuzyGreenberg (1043), Seattle, Washington, USA Oct 11, 2008 draft @ uber - very cloudy, darkish yellow with fuzzy white head; perfect aromas - way more spice than sour; rich and smooth; flavors drink soft on the tongue; very floral, lemons, cloves; wow, no sour at all which is why i think i like it so much; rich and smooth; wow, just terrific in every way dornoy (636), Lyngby, Denmark Oct 11, 2008 Big Ivory head on a dark yellow body. I found it rather disappointing. I could sense a metellic taste. Yet it is rather sweet and drinkable, although not extraordinary so. BOLTZ7555 (528), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Oct 10, 2008 Maybe my taste buds are dead...but just not tasting the spiciness indicative of the style. Straw colored with a HUGE ivory head and solid lacing. Aroma is belgian yeast and surprisingly sweet. Where’s the earthy, grassy, citrus notes??? Just not what I was expecting. ruggedman (429), Portland, Maine, USA Oct 5, 2008 Dupont Foret on tap at Novare Res. This was highly touted by the bartender, but i wasn’t too much of a fan. It’s got a typical Saison flavor, but a really stinky aroma. Smooth and decent tasting though. GodOfThunder (30), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 1, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow with a full pillowtop head. The aroma is predominantly skunky funk with some metallic accents and a little citrus. The skunk doesn’t carry over to the taste, leaving a nice bitter earthiness, with some grassy notes and a hint of the metallic mineral-ness. Overall, the taste is pretty good, however the smell leaves a little to be desired.
