dirkbreedveld (222), Netherlands Jun 27, 2008 Nice blond beer, not sweet at all like Leffe.
Good golden colour, steady head from draught. Smell really fresh but malty too. Taste really refreshing, malty, citruszest. Good bitters in the aftertaste.
awaisanen (1143), Irvine, California, USA Aug 28, 2008 From a 750mL Bottle. Lightly hazy, golden color with a thick layer of tight bubbled white foam. Aromas of doughy yeast, herbal coriander, and hints of pear. The signature Dupont characters jump from the glass, sans the pepper. Mild alcohol, subtle floral hops, and suggestions of light malt sweetness. Light bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel with a soft texture. Dry enough to be remarkably drinkable, but still has a nice, soft mouthfeel. Flavors of doughy yeast and light malt sweetness up front on the palate, followed by hints of cardamom spice. Mid-palate, some light lemon citrus notes start to come through. Finishes hoppy in an herbal, refreshing, non-bitter kind of way. Alcohol gets a little bit warm in the finish, which is my only complaint. Tasty beer overall; it’s hard to go wrong with anything Dupont. tomthompson89 (1133), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 22, 2008 Bottle from Quebec SAQ. pale golden color with a nice haze big fluffy head. Nose is kinda citrus and belgian spices, yeasty. Flavor follows the same, some nuttyness i like this beer. daknole (699), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 22, 2008 Bottle from Brother Tuckers. Cloudy golden pour wtih a very big white head. Aroma of yeast, fruit, and some suble spices on the nose too. Fluffy in the mouth and overall a nice balanced beer. Spices, yeast, sweetness all come together for a good brew. Borresteijn (543), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 20, 2008 Hmm, maybe I had a bad bottle. Hazy golden colour, big white head. Aroma of sour fruits, green apples, yeast. Flavour is sour apple juice with lots of carbonation. Didn’t like it. FishManLA (166), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA Aug 12, 2008 A rather quintessential abbey tripel. A cloudy orange/brass color with a foamy white head that has rather good persistence. Nice lacing. Nose of yeast, apples, grapes, and perhaps strawberries. Taste of fruit and subtle spices. Sweet and slightly creamy. Sweet and creamy also describes the finish.
