Pleasant enough ale aroma. Deep orange, small head. Sludgy ale taste - full bodied but without details. Some rich malts, but mushroomy and a bit caramelly. Doesn’t grab me. Anna scribbled "Tastes like shit." on my notes, hoping I’d accidentally include it in the review while typing it in. We aim to please.

A Mes rate: cask handpump from the Volunteers Arms at GBBF thanks to Christian.
A very clean amber brown colour with a thin white head. Good cakey, gingery malt aroma that is offset well by some liquorice and slight grassy hops. A similar flavour that balances out well thanks to a solid bready malt and bitter hop finish. A good bit of best.

Cloudy deep amber with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with toasted malt, caramel and fruity notes. Sweet flavor with caramel, fruits and floral hops leading to a bitter end.
