GarethYoung (1108), Glasgow, Scotland Nov 11, 2006 [Cask at The Three Judges] Nose of ripe aples, slightly spicey, soem sweet fruit and a little alcohol. Medium body, tickle of carbonation, dry.
downender (1449), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Jun 15, 2008 On gravity at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 15/06/08. Cloudy pale yellow in colour with no head. Aroma of tart apples, cloves and yeast. Flavour started sweet before more spice and a dry finish. My understanding is that Thatchers produce this for Moles nowadays - the commercial description’s reference to Somerset would seem to support this. hughie (2056), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Oct 3, 2007 Gravity dispense at Bedford Beer Festival ’07. Hazy orange gold. Odd ashy aroma. Taste is sweet and fruity with a sort of smokey bacon background. Beguiling, smooth, amateurish. Magic_dave6 (3476), Glasgow, Scotland Jun 21, 2007 Noteably cloudy beast. Aroma was dry apples cooking appple and hints of nuts. Taste was again dry an appley, sweet nuts in the finish, a decent cider but there are better. Nekronos (1799), Xalapa, Mexico Sep 29, 2006 Really nice, a little dry but sweet and strong, very cloudy, the name is a little nasty.
