Aug 7, 2008 Tap@RaiDOrSalisbury. Hmmm, I like my cider to be authentic, sourish and yeasty. This is pretty bland and has none of that. Pretty neutral actually and that makes it easy to drink. But that’s it.

Jun 15, 2008 On gravity at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 15/06/08. Cloudy pale yellow in colour with no head. Aroma of tart apples, cloves and yeast. Flavour started sweet before more spice and a dry finish. My understanding is that Thatchers produce this for Moles nowadays - the commercial description’s reference to Somerset would seem to support this.

Oct 3, 2007 Gravity dispense at Bedford Beer Festival ’07. Hazy orange gold. Odd ashy aroma. Taste is sweet and fruity with a sort of smokey bacon background. Beguiling, smooth, amateurish.

Jun 21, 2007 Noteably cloudy beast. Aroma was dry apples cooking appple and hints of nuts. Taste was again dry an appley, sweet nuts in the finish, a decent cider but there are better.

Jul 25, 2006 Cask. (supposed to be only 4,8% ABV) Clear, lightly sparkling cider with a minimal white head. Mild aroma of apples and some sourness. The flavor is like green apples, with a touch of lemony sourness. Thin body and slightly astringent. Pleasant and refreshing. (060710)
