Cask conditioned at The Three Guineas, Reading, Berks. Brown red with white head. This is a sweetish bitter, with caramel, sweet toffee and burnt notes. Quite a full palate and a little overbearing, a little too much for me.

Cask handpull at Masque Haunt, JDW, Old Street. Reddy brown with thin beige head. Malty best bitter. Lots of dry malt aroma. Some hop on end, more choc, bit of Turkish Delight fruit and milk choc. Moderate fullness in mouth. Some yeast runs through it.

A Mes rate: Cask at Baker Street JDW. Rather nice. Hops and alcohol in the nose. Decent looking red brown colour. Aromatic hops with biscuit and tobacco. Crisp hoppy finish.

Cask fresh @ Golden Lion, Rochester. A fragrantly hoppy amber bitter with a decent malt base. Very tasty. Very moreish. Leathery aroma.
