Goes down very smooth and cold. After taste is a pleasing spicy flavor. The higher ABV tends to sneak up on you with multiple samplings. MegaManC (31), Oakville, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 29, 2003 Not bad for a strong beer. You can taste the alcohol, but it's not overwhelming. This beer would be a lot better if they cut out a bit of the sweetness. gord (36), harbour grace, Newfoundland, Canada
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Aug 13, 2003 not one of molson's better products.don't buy black ice for the taste, only buy this if you are looking to get hammered easy.the initial taste of this beer is o.k. yet nothing special but the aftertaste is horrific and lingers for quite some time.this is not a good beer at all ,but if you don't care about quality and just looking to get wasted after a 12 pack then you may want to pick up a case of this. Still not special by any means it's the kind of beer you avoid unless pressed (ie. homeless) Cobra (1061), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | May 2, 2003 Pours out the typical Molson straw yellow color, with a thin, short-lived head. Smells strongly of cheap alcohol, corn, and
rotting cabbage. Way too much gas in this beer (read over-carbonated.) Tastes like most other American/ Canadian corn
beers. Not much on malts or hops in my book. I used to like Molson products when I was a younger man, I guess my tastes
have changed for the better since then. Not my favorite ice beer, by far. Shenzer (48), Ontario, Canada
