Cole (265), , Alberta, Canada Oct 21, 2009 Pours pale yellow, slight head. Almost no aroma. Dry crisp flavour. Very dull. Typical Macro brew. TheHulk (106), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Oct 21, 2009 It smells pretty weak, like all pale lagers. Same for looks, there was a bit of head when I poured it but I blinked and it was gone like a small town beside the SK hiway. The flavour is a lot more full and smooth than you’d expect, but doesn’t finish that well, sort of a bitterness that doesn’t taste like it’s from hops. Not something I will remember to bring back from the next vist back home to the S.K. Vertical Bacon Strips (874), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 18, 2009 Standard Canadian lager yellow gold, slight effervecance, nice white crown with good retention and decent lacing. There is a small ammount of floatines. The aroma is fairly fresh with sweet malts, a slight floral boquet and some metallicness. The taste is quite good, better than the average, but I will note that the quality of this beer has dropped over the last couple of years. Dry, decent malts with a sllight fruit flavour but its mostly the standard malts here...better than most Molson products. Yum Yum. The mouthfeel is fairly smooth and creamy, a bit tart and a touch of bitterness on the finish. I just prefer this stuff ice cold and out of the bottle. Cirrhosis (607), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 5, 2009 Typical looking lager with its gold body, and only the smallest amount of bubbles floating around the rim of your glass. Sweet smelling malts, maybe a touch weak in the aroma department but at least it doesn’t smell stale and skunky. Yum, yum, this beer is all malt not a single amount of hops can be found. There’s a strange burnt taste witch I can’t place and is throwing off the entire beer flavor, fairly clean tasting but leaves a bready after taste. This beer when served ice cold is fairly refreshing thin feeling but not watery and had a ton of tingly carbonation. Not a bad brew but not to memorable either just an easy drinking beer you could pound a million of on a hot day. The beer finishes with a huge belch terrybail (330), London, Ontario, Canada May 31, 2009 341ml bottle left over froma party
Pours the usual pale yellow and but with a nice sized white heqad and good lacing
The aroma is soapy corn
The taste is weak watery mess nasty after taste
SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Feb 8, 2009 On tap at O’Shea’s in Toon Town. Pours bright gold with a thin white head, likely due to the sub-zero serving temperature. This has virtually no aroma beyond the expected grain adjunct scent, and almost no flavor to match. A cornsickle when served this cold. A truly awful beer, but far better than Budweiser. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Oct 30, 2008 Pours a golden yellow. Aromas of light grains/grass/ and a hint of hops. Has a fresh crisp taste. Kugard (1), , Ontario, Canada does not count Jul 2, 2008 This beer is cheap. Not only is it cheap but, unless you are a snobbish beer drinker, its a nice drink aswell. Goes down easy. The taste is not bad at all. Some people complain about the "breaded" taste, some have called it a "Burnt corn" taste... I like it. Maybe I’m alone on that but, I think it is a very natural, smooth taste that I find quite agreeable. It sits very well in large quantities. Young people, with a tight budget, will enjoy this beer.
