Mince col mousseux. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 6, 2005 You can only get this beer in certain parts of Canada. Somehow, though, my dad ended up having a friend with a modicum of culture, who introduced us to this interesting brew.
It’s a golden slightly acidic beer with a high alcohol content, which is highly drinkable, but sort of boring. But in the words of the immortal Dave Chappelle, "It’ll get you drunk" DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 26, 2004 Sweet malt aroma, golden, small head. Malty, light and sweet. Ordinary.
I remember trying this beer in 1973, it was considered to be a strong beer then.
Thanks jercraigs. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Nov 29, 2004 Corny grass aroma with some alcohol notes. Pretty bland taste - I would term it slightly offensive with some off skunky flavours. Bad lingering finish. This is a Malt Liquor? I had no idea. Another Canadian rating I guess.... jerc (3964), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 20, 2004 Crisp yellow body, with a small quickly fading head. Aroma is dominated by a suprisingly high amount of alcoholic aromas. Bland and boring, surprisingly rough alcoholic finish for a Molson product. Average palate. Meh. Thanks to Matt for saving me the purchase. labattblueleaf (225), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 25, 2004 Higher alcohol which is sometimes good, but this tasted too malty for me. Malt Malt Malt. Just add milk and chocolate and you’ll get a chocolate malt. I know a lot of people who love this but it’s not my cup of tea. mstockton (186), Rochester, Michigan, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 26, 2004 Kind of like normal Molson Canadian, but with a slightly darker hue with ahint of wine in the taste. I actually find Canadian a bit easier to drink. This stuff has 6% alcohol and that is not very detectable. So, maybe if you’re looking for the quick buzz, this could be your brew. | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Aug 4, 2004 I had heard a lot about this beer’s potency over the years, but I didn’t see the big deal. Not much in aroma or flavor. My Canadian neighbor loves this stuff, but then again he thinks Stone beers are horrible, so I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.
