Commercial Description:
Not available in the U.S., Brador is known for its high alcohol content. A bit of a kick, but not a lot of character.

I had heard a lot about this beer’s potency over the years, but I didn’t see the big deal. Not much in aroma or flavor. My Canadian neighbor loves this stuff, but then again he thinks Stone beers are horrible, so I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.

Sweet malty and a touch fruity in the nose. Dark golden with generous white head that recedes to ring. Very sweet and rather boozy for a measly 6%. Highly carbonated - too much gas. Bottle.

Bottle (341ml - not a stubby :( . At Pub Italia, Ottawa. Poured bubbly clear pale yellow with an average white tight and creamy head. Aroma - at last! There’s the traditional Canadian grain smell I remember from my youth - medium strong, mostly of grains, slightly vegetal malt, fresh-cut straw, somewhat stale hops - gets a little skanky on warming, drink it up fast. Taste is grainy too, but a touch sweet, with overtones of sour mash without being too corny, finishes very quickly, no aftertaste other than a bit of barley/rye heavy burpiness. Creamy, chewy and slightly watery mouthfeel - overall takes me back, not as thick or strong as I remember, but not bad - way, way better than my recent experience with Labbat 50.

Surprise. Molson made a beer that got full 6% of alcohol and still have big, thick head. Typical sweet accents, then substantial amount of alcohol is sowing up. Seems to be softer lighter version of Colt 45.

Crisp yellow body, with a small quickly fading head. Aroma is dominated by a suprisingly high amount of alcoholic aromas. Bland and boring, surprisingly rough alcoholic finish for a Molson product. Average palate. Meh. Thanks to Matt for saving me the purchase.

Another of my Dad’s beers that I learned to appreciate when I finally got a job. Now is that really the Commercial Description listed above? Not an incentive to buy this brew.
