This really is impressive - looks like a dented depleted uranium shell casing. God, what a moronic corporate entity Molson is - lets make it smaller, but STRONGER - hey, yah yah yah! Here goes. (Chugged straight from the can, I’m not wasting any of my glassware on this). Aroma pretty meager - corn, skunkiness, some very sour and stale grain, but mostly corn. Taste is ... sort of foul, almost skunky, but that’s the horrible corn extract, with again, sour graininess, perhaps a bit of hops, I dunno. Mouthfeel is strangely sticky and the aftertaste is nasty - sour ditchwater, some alcohol residue. Keep this VERY cold. Better yet give it to a street person instead of a loonie next time. albert007 (409), Penobsquis, New Brunswick, Canada
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Jul 31, 2005 Little can. severd very cold.. Tinny, corn, a hint of skunk, bad aftertaste. Not much different from most of Molson’s offerings. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jul 29, 2005 Cold Shot Can. Same pale yellow Canadian appearance, this one with a bit more of a frothy white head. Same corn Molson macro aroma that is disgusting actually. Mouthfeel is surprisingly frothy, well carbonated (not too much actually) and I’ll admit it, enjoyable in a thirst quenching way. The taste is also more tolerable - the mouthfeel seems to smooth the Canadian out; it is still all macro grainy type taste, and I can’t honestly admit to tasting any more flavour, but somehow this turns into a passable but not enjoyable macro lager. I won’t buy it again, and I think the concept is ridiculous, but I find it pretty amusing that it was this easy to trump your own "flagship" beer. GregClow (2499), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

The can warns me to "drink very, very chilled", and I suppose the proper way to "enjoy" it would be shotgunned straight from the can, but I decided to get fancy and pour it into a nice tulip glass. Looks as expected - pale gold with a medium-sized white head that quickly disappears. Aroma is sweet and grainy with some fusel alcohol notes in the background. Flavour is similar - starts sweet with some canned vegetable flavours, ends with a moderate alcohol burn. Pretty nasty stuff. I notice that the Molson Dry Cold Shots have already disappeared from the market (in Ontario, at least), so I suspect the gimmick has run its course and this ass-juice will be gone soon as well. thefatguy (34), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Jun 23, 2005 Good side: You only have to buy 4X250ml at a time, not 6X341ml to get a new beer and a new can for you collection. On the bad side: you have to drink them. Pale yellow fizzy beer. Probably more taste than Canadian 5.0, but is the taste better? Not really. If your plan is to drink them slowly and try to take in the flavour forget about it, it tastes like a tin can.
It served its purpose for me though....
