Color is perhaps half a shade darker than the average American pale lager. The very weak malt aroma is accented by an even weaker note of hops -- it must be noted that I am being very kind to even mention hops here, and perhaps it’s my imagination. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is flat. Flavor is indistinguishable from its American competition. Finish is indistinguishable from water. I’m not sure what this costs, but if it’s more than Budweiser, choose Bud. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 21, 2007 Clear straw-gold color, sparse white head that quickly vanishes. Faint sweet grain aroma - maybe some corn. Tastes like it smells, a bit bolder than an American macro but far short of a good German lager for sure. Thin body but not too watery, finishes a bit dry. No aftertaste. lemansgranprix (20), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

I still get on occassion, not a bad light lager, all light lagers have there place, and this is above most others... DaveB (73), Holyoke, Massachusetts, USA

Tonight is the night of reviewing old familiars. Here is one that I have had many times before and now after tasting over a hundred ‘real’ beers I now feel qualified to give Molsy equal footing. For a 12 oz twist off cap I was surprised to find it had a slight aroma of vegetable skunk. Pours like any other pale yellow american style beer, a lager fer sure. Has a white head that rapidly fades. I have also had golden before and I can’t remember what either tastes like so here goes. Bubbles are finer than most lagers and they are smaller too, lending to a creamy texture on the tongue. It’s amazing how many lagers taste like each other. This one has a mild, mild hint of sweet fruityness in there if you seek it out. This is a well behaved lager that lacks any offensiveness. It’s funny when you see on the label that they use crystal clear water to brew, what else would you possibly use. A few bubbles are seen rising from the brew continuously as I drink it. A finish that could be enjoyed by seculars from oxford. A nice brew that is a repeatable, affordable Canadian friend.
