| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Mar 8, 2009 This is a great beer that is readily available no matter what store I go to. This has the most flavor of any mainstream case beer available in the US, which deserves a decent rating. BostonFox (26), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Mar 8, 2009 I notice a lot of the Americans who rate Molson complain of it’s "skunkyness". It has always beffuddled me why a brewer, who normally packages in brown bottles, would think it’s a good idea to change to green when they export it - pretty much guaranteeing light damage to the product.
Oh well.
This beer is obviously nothing special but stands up pretty well within the style guidelines of a pale lager. Easy drinking and not a bad choice after playing sports. Cavie (1511), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 6, 2009 The best Canadian beer I have had yet. This was a nice, relaxing beer that I could really enjoy. fromred2green (171), , Ohio, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Feb 18, 2009 Bottle. Pours yellow with a thin foamy head. Aroma is stale hops. Flavor is also stale hops. After trying other beers I wonder why I used to drink this stuff. Papillon (211), Sudbury, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Updated: Feb 16, 2009473 mL can. Pours a clear yellow with a thin frothy head that leaves some lace on the sides of the glass as the beer is sipped. The aroma is faintly grainy and sweet. The taste is sweet malt/light corn followed by a bread crust aftertaste, a whisper of a note of butter cookie and a remarkably clean finish. The rating I am giving here is entirely commensurate on the exceptional sample I have encountered here. I wish I could say the same for the majority of servings of Molson Canadian that I graciously accepted at social functions: most of them have been pure skunk in their every aspect. I’ve run into this delicious taste before in Molson Canadian only to be disappointed upon re-visiting this beer. My only wish is for the brewer to maintain such true consistency in quality and freshness such as what I am assaying here. OTOH there ought to be an animal on the label: a skunk with both ends showing. BroSpud (615), , Massachusetts, USA
| 0.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Bottle. Another beer from my youth. Why did I ever drink this stuff? Always skunky, never good. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Bottle. There’s some bread and grain in the aroma, but not much. Usual color, but with a larger white head than most pale lagers. Flavor is adjuncty, but a tiny bit of real maltiness lurks in the background. Why do I feel like watching a hockey game?
