A major bummer, with all the typical washed out grain and cereal flavours of typical macrobrewed canadian lagers. Lacking altogether.

Pours gold with a toasted grain, corn, with traces of caramel. Short lived head. Sweet malts and corny. I thought that I could taste a little anise (maybe that’s pushing it). Some peppery notes in the relatively dry finish. Marginally better than Canadian. I've heard this beer is absolutely amazing if you cellar it for five years.

Very light sweet grainy aroma. Very pale with thin white fully diminishing head. Sweet, grainy flavour. Astringent and thin. Bottle.

Swillfest ’04: Sour aroma with grass and blackberries. Fizzy body obfuscates whatever flavours might have been there - grains I guess. Lousy, even by swill standards.

Small head, pale gold lager. Fruity hints, obvious missing hop element might be annoying. It feels incomplete at this point.

Pale straw w/ thin, fizzy white head. Light grain & sugar aroma. Sugary feel. Sweet, almost cloying, grainy flavour w/ a slight apple juice-like quality.

Pale but bright yellow with a good starting head (big bubbles that sink so fast before your eyes you'll think it is a camera trick. Pretty much no aroma but gets a bonus since it doesn't offend either. A little thicker body than expected. A touch of bitterness in the finish. An hint of alcohol. Why are there so many songs about rainbows....and so many 5% pseudo beers?

A budget beer, but not too bad for a budget beer. Actually, it's better than a few of the standard, mainstream macros. It is what it is.
