There are funky malt notes that just don’t make any sense at all. And the esters - tangerine, pineapple, peach. I don’t get those at all. Even in the sorry universe of low-carb beers, this is abysmal. JoeMcPhee (5025), Jackson Heights, New York, USA

| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Apr 2, 2004 Third of three "low-carb" beers sampled in honour of April Fool's Day. Mildly sweet aroma. This one actually pours out a decent head although it could hardly be accused of sticking around. Pale golden body. Slight sweet flavour and a hint of bitterness but there's some husky grainy flavours in the finish. Mouthfeel is carbonated water though not as effervescent. Easily the best of the three and scrore is probably higher due to side by side comparison than it would be if rated alone. Bottle. HogTownHarry (4025), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada

Poured clear light yellow with a small fizzy quick-diminishing white head. Aroma is nasty - harsh burnt straw, chemical-vegetal - it actually smells fizzy. Taste is mildly skunky, mildly sweet-chemical, sort of corn-based artificial beer-like-beverage. Mouthfeel incredibly watery and fizzy-acrid. Guck - avoid this, not pleasant. | 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | May 2, 2004 Pale gold, another low carb local product. Pale gold, small head. Watery, thin body. Whatever there is left from the washed out flavour is bad. You might discover some green apple at the finish. jerc (3954), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 8, 2004 Pale yellow body with a pretty decent white head. Light mildly chemically aroma that seems to pervade these low carb products. I wonder if it has something to do with the carb removal process? Hehe. Flavour is actually not as awful as anticipated, mostly just a lack of it. Hint of grainy corny artificial something or other, and again a wierd something that seems to show up in low alchol and low carb beers. Average macro palate. Seriously, what is the point? If you are that concerned about your diet, stop drinking alcohol. CapFlu (3483), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Feb 16, 2004 (Bottle) Pours a medium, white frothy head and a golden body. Nose and flavour of very little, some corn in it. Boring, watery stuff. presario (3002), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jan 16, 2004 Minimal, but not beer like aroma. Quickly disipating phony looking big bubble white head. Gold colour. Cleaner than Sterling but basicaly water with alcohol. If you drink for flavour skip it. If you want alcohol there are stronger drinks.
