thebeertourist (1764), Oslo, Norway Aug 20, 2008 Bottle at ’t Arendsnest. Dark ruby red with a tan medium head. Nice malty aroma. Good balanced malty caramel flavours. Bitter enough. Fizzy. Jolly good. Mes_and_Sim (4176), London, Greater London, England Aug 18, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at GBBF. Rich amber with a thin off white head. Rather good looking actually. Fruity as hell, lots of sugar and some seriously rich malt. Some peppery alcohol giving plenty of heat but it remains just about tolerable. Alcoholic toffee finish. Interesting stuff. harrisoni (5106), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 8, 2008 Bottle at GBBF 08. Some fruit and heat on aroma. Slightly sweet as you’d expect, nut not bad. Fullish and a little syrupy, but fine. Ober (276), Best, Netherlands Aug 7, 2008 A clear dark amber colored beer, with a thick foamy beige head. The aroma of caramel and toffee.
