Oct 23, 2009 There was an "Aomori Fest" at the local department store here on Okinawa. What a wonderful surprise to find my former "home town" sake here! Just a hint of pale straw color in the near colorless clear sake. Slightly sweet, honeydew and almond scent, mild Koji, I love these lighter, fruit scented Tohoku Sake’s! Almonds up front followed by a warm peppery flavor, mild alcohol. Quite nice! I need to go back and buy a few more bottles while I can!
