Clear amber with quickly disappearing small white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, malty and some floral hints. Taste is sweet malty, hoppy and bitter, a little alcoholic towards the end. Carbonation is quite high. Aftertaste is malty and bitter. Too sweet for my taste, although it seems that they’ve tried to balance it with bitterness.

Bottle (Danke nach Kreuzlingen!): Hazy, amber coloured, lots of floaties visible, medium-sized - sloly collapsing - off-white fluffy head; sweetish-caramelly nose with a light, but distinctive hoppy background;; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweet-malty finish with a subtle fruitiness and a light bitter aftertaste. A tasty brew, no doubt.........

(33cl bottle, with thanks to Quack-Duck) Hazy, amber to chestnut brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet caramel-malty nose with a touch of molasses and subtle beet-fruity notes. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Malt-accented taste with notes of caramel, molasses and a touch of sugar beet; sweet malty finish with caramel and a tinge of hoppy bitterness. Likeable Steinbier-Bock (20.VII.09).

Sampled in Zurich. A really refreshing brew, drinks incredibly smooth. Pours decently dark amber with mild head. Full of good caramel flavors but not much else. Worth a try.

Bottle from Coop, Switzerland
Hazy dark amber color. Very light aroma; caramel flavor, a bit stale, with no qualities, medium-low bitterness, some alcohol. Boring.

Bottled (thanks Bov!). Hazy deeo orange colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, yeast, some fudge, mild notes of fruits. Flavour is strong bready and caramelly malts. along with slight fruity and sweet grassyness as well.

Bottled (BB12/2009) Hazy orange color, small off-white head. Candy sugar, orange peels and cardboard in the nose. Medium-bodied, even a bit on thin side. Sweet jelly at first then hoppy bite and banana with some candy sugar. Very strange bock. Somehow Dutch like, also lemonady feeling here.
