cloudy yellow, whispy head, light citrus aroma, tart wheat flavor, touch of banana, just a hint of bitterness in the finish

a bit more malt backbone, no bitterness, yeast character starts to show up about halfway through, a bit of tartness that may have been caused by an uninvited lemon found floating under the head, a bit bland compared to ’01, but that may be me

Aromas sadly were rather muted, almost like a hefe-light. Could it be to appeal to the masses? I am starting to wonder.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 1, 2002 Typical cloudy-pale hefe. Standard banana-clove flavor, maybe a bit of milkiness that added a degree of smoothness to the beer. Not bad at all, the second best beer they had next to the red ale. And not served with a fucking lemon, either. JessterCPA (130), Wayne, New Jersey, USA
