Commercial Description:
High Roller Red is an exceptionally smooth, full-bodied amber ale. The caramel and toffee notes are established by a select blend of domestic and imported malted barley. The complex malt character is balanced by the fruity tones of our house yeast.

Pours amber with decent off white head that quickly fades. Aroma of caramel malt and some spiciness. Much the same in the flavor. Decent balance of malt and hops. Smooth. I like this better than others seem to.

Amber. Caramel-vanilla aroma. Vanilla flavour. Pretty standard and I am not to fond of that standard.

virtually no aroma at all, what there was is a weak caramel malt smell, but i had to work hard to find it. the body was a clear bright amber color with a long lasting creamy head that coated the sides of the glass. a very nice flavor, loads of caramel followed by hints of coffee and a little bit of yeast. a very smooth finish, the flavors balanced out very well, and the body/mouthfeel was a little bit creamy in texture. this was the best of the offerings at the bar the night i was there imo.

copper colour, no head. toasty nose with some raspberry, caramel and earth. flavois is nicely balanced but a little thin. bready malt could use a bit more caramel from the aroma and earthy hops could show themselves more in the finish.

(on tap) Again, not much of an aroma coming off of this beer. The appearance was ok, reddish gold with a white head. The falvor wasn’t as sweet or fruity as I would have expected of an amber. Little bit of bitterness followed it up.

bottled sample: Dark copper in colour with hardly any carbonation. This one has a burnt sugar malty aroma, along with some notes of diacetyl and mild fruit. The mouthfeel is quite strange; starting sweet and full, but evolving into a watery mess. There are some toffee flavors and a bit of bitterness, but not much else. Thanks to mnurda for the sample nonetheless.

From the bottle@the casino: Dark amber with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and lightly sweet. Flavor is medium caramel sweet and lightly fruity. Thin palate, nothing bad, nothing special.

(draft) Quite disgusting. Has that tingly mouthfeel that I detest in lagers. I was suurprised to find in this, ostensibly an ale. This is a beer trying to appeal to the swill drinking masses and the good beer drinkers at the same time. It fails at both.
