Not much to this brew. Thin-bodied and not much in terms of flavor. Not a whole lot better than Killian’s Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 3, 2005 Clear, thoroughly crimson appearance, very slim, rapidly dissipating head.
Malty nose, bright, dark fruits, cherries and grapes, nice enough.
Taste: smooth, malt-driven, on the sweet side, but well-balanced. A bit light in the mouthfeel and body, making for an easy drinker all the way. Malt flavor feels richer, though, halfway in, that’s appreciated. A very accomodating brew, that’s for sure. Suttree (2734), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 26, 2005 Are you familiar with Killians Red, as interpreted by Coors? IF so, you familiar with this beer. Not bad, of course, but not really "there". Looks good, and has a nice roasty malt base, but it kinda disappears mid gulp. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 1, 2005 Draught. Dark amber and clear. Pleasant looking and pleasant smelling. Flavor was a little weak, but not bad. Just wish there was more to it. pjk33 (384), Sligo - Curllsville Heights, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 19, 2005 Draught. Had this a few times at the brewpub. Pours a nice amber red and I really liked the malty hoppy nose. Mouthfell is buzzy with a nice boldness that was a little more full than I expected but the taste of this was excellent and really made me order more as I am really a pale ale fan, but this amber was quite nice. Well done. Great 80’s band called "The Reflex" played as we drank... fun time and good brew. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 16, 2004 it poured a light tannish read color w/ a very light tan head.. the aroma carried a bit of hit but I didn’t really pick anything out of it. The taste was good, not the strength in flavor I usually expect in a red. not bad but not great. argo0 (6945), Washington DC, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 23, 2004 Clear amber body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, some herbal. Taste is medium sweet, herbal-earthy, caramel. Light-medium body. Dogbrick (2864), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 15, 2004 From a sampler: Amber-colored with a thin light beige head. Thin and sticky lacing. Mildly malty aroma. The body is smooth but not very rich, with a light roasty character and malt and caramel undertones. Nothing really stands out in the flavor but it is a very even-tasting beer. The finish is lightly sweet with no lingering aftertaste. Okay, but not worth getting next time in Vegas.
