Jul 1, 2002 Easily the best beer in the house, and I must say, rather complex for brewpub fare. The caramel-chocolate-toffee flavors were quite nice as they lasted well into the finish. Well-balanced maltiness.

Mar 16, 2002 Very nice color. This one went down better than the others. One of the coolest things is that it came in a mini-tap for only $13. Not bad for a little over 5 pints. Strong flavor.

Dec 4, 2006 This is the one I was most impressed with per the style. A pretty good light caramel aroma and a beautiful red color. Not that malty, but nice and smooth.

Jul 31, 2006 12oz bottle pours nice and clean amber/red color with no head. Aromas of chocolate and toffee with a small amount of hops. Huge malt taste with no bitterness and a nice carmel finish. Overall a good amber ale that is clean and full of specialty malts, but lacking the hop balance.

Jul 20, 2006 On tap @ Monte Carlo poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, toffee and dark bread. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, carmel and toffee with a smooth semi dry finish.

Apr 9, 2006 On tap at the Monte Carlo. This beer poors a dark copper color. It’s medium bodied malty ale that goes down smooth with a long finish.

Sep 14, 2004 Nice tan head, hazy dark amber body. Malt is dominating in the aroma with some light spices and fruit tones. Lots of malt in the flavor with a fine roasted tone. Spices, nutmeg and citrus in the end. Quite dry.
