Commercial Description:
Jackpot Ale is a hearty golden copper clored ale with a pleasing hop aroma and flavor. The recipe was traditionally created to produce a beer strong enough to withstand journeys from the UK to India. The result os an assertive, full bodied beer with an enjoyable crisp hop bitterness.

Clear copper orange - nice color; very little head, but good lacing. Aroma is sweet malty and floral. Taste is medium thick; full of sweet malts, almost sugary down the center of my tongue. Hops aren’t quite as strong as they could’ve been, but they were pleasant - lightly citrus, floral. The sweet malts come in again in the finish. Thanks to my high-rollin’ friend Rick for bringing me this one

Pours a lighter amber color, white-ish head. Floral hop aroma, mild malt present. Flavor is decent, some hops, light malt, lightly bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. A decent IPA for those that don’t yet like IPAs.

Draft - Copper/amber colored with an off-white head. Decent hop aroma that, unfortunately did not quite follow through in the flavor. Hops are there, but in too small a quantity for an IPA. Malt is present, but only slightly. Definitely has been brewed for the broader appeal. Very drinkable and I enjoyed it, but I wish it had more hop punch to it.

Toffee and sweat aroma. Very light amber or dark honey gold. Woody bitterness, dry, skewed towards the tart side like many of their other brews. Goes watery. More like a red ale. Very mild toffee, very light sweetness. Underhopped for an IPA.

Decent hop nose in this one. Palate is very thin. The hops tasted stale and not quite enough for an IPA.

bottled: this one probably the better of the beers at monte carlo, although i havent had them all. slight hop aroma, and not a huge hop on the palate like you would expect from an IPA. watery and weak, made for the non-beer conisseur. bud drinkers take notice.

Tap @ Reno Festival. Amber color with a tan head. Orange and citrus flavors with a hop balance. Enjoyable and refreshing.
