MIBRomeo (1962), Wisconsin, USA Nov 16, 2004 poured a reddish hue w/ a very light head and no carbonation bubbles.. scent was very weak but smelled slightly of fruit.. not great.palatae was creamy and carbonated very smooth and drinkable. flavor was hints of fruit and maybe some cintrus plus a hint of alcohol on the flavor... I really liked this beer.. it wasn’t exceptional but really agreed w/ me. argo0 (6842), Washington DC, USA Oct 23, 2004 Clear amber body with off-white head, nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, cereal, light nutty, herbal, grassy. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, some cereal. Finishes with very light grassy. Light-medium body, bit of sticky, but more crisp than usual for style. Dogbrick (2805), Columbus, Ohio, USA Oct 16, 2004 From a sampler: This is the seasonal available when we visited. Dark and clear amber/orange color with a thin off-white head. Vaguely malty aroma. Medium-bodied with a light malt character, but it struggles. Not much else going on flavorwise. The finish is lightly bitter hops that also don’t have a lot of steam. One of the more palatable Monte Carlo beers which unfortunately is not saying much. BückDich (4777), McCall, Idaho, USA Oct 9, 2004 Sampled draught at Monte Carlo Brewpub, Las Vegas Dark amber color. Malty toast and a bit of roast aroma. Tastes watery with a medium body. Finishes brief and lightly bitter. Average oktoberfest.
