| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 14, 2006 This bottled brew from the brewery poured a medium sized head of finely sized bubbles that was long lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation dark ruby red brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The thin mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a dark malty aftertaste. The thin flavor contained notes of smooth malts mild dark malt and mild brown malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 1, 2006 Enjoyed this one on draught at the brewpub located in the Monte Carlo Casino in Las Vegas. Of all the Monte Carlo beers I tried, this was by far my favorite, and the one that had very good aroma and flavor. This beer pours to a beautiful, ebony color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and a moderate carbonation. The nose is very good, with aromas of dark chocolate, mild coffee, and light roast. The palate is firm, with good dark malt, chocolate, coffee, and hints of estery currant. This beer finishes with more good dark chocolate flavors, coffee, then ends with a light roast finish that lingers. An enjoyable pint of stout, and very welcome in Vegas, an town, not know for its beer for sure. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA

Aromas of chocolate, toffee, roast and oats. Taste is rich chocolate with a slight smokiness and a bitter finish. Overall a nice easy drinking stout with a full body, but a little low on carbonation. ratman197 (3262), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 20, 2006 Tap sample at the brewery. Black in colour with an off white head and low carbonation. Smells of milk chocolate and just a bit of roasted barley. More milk chocolate on the mouth, along with hints of coffee and red grapes. Watery and sweet palate. Not a bad session stout, but it would be better if it was a bit dryer. Saarlander (1583), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA
