Commercial Description:
Silver State Stout is a dry, yet suprisingly smooth version of a traditional Irish Stout. A complex blend of six types of barley and oatmeal create a complex flavor profile and rich mouth-feel.

deep brown colour. something weird in the aroma, sort of like oxidized meat. other than that it’s a decent beer, but doesn’t really recover. toffee, cocoa and roast in the aroma and smooth chocolatey flavor. thin mouthfeel. coffee-ish finish

Aroma? I wish there was one. Of course, it seemed like even cigarette smoke didn’t smell in this place. The beer was dark brown that did allow color to pass through it. It had a thin beige head. Flavor was decent, hints of mocha. The palate was somewhat chauky. Not the thickest stout I’ve ever had.

Bottle@casino: Brown almost black with a wisp of tan head. Light sweet aroma with a hint of coffee. Flavor starts lightly sweet with coffee and hints of fudge and smoke finishing lightly dry and bitter. Thin palate, but not bad.

(draft) Very thin flavor and mouthfeel. Definitely drinkable, but so is water.

Dark brown, small fizzy head. Nice , refreshing roasty aroma . Simmilar in character is the flavour . Simplistic but it works well . Malt preparation is the key.

Thanks to Suttree for this one! Very small head despite a pour right down the middle of a tall glass. Black body with a tan head. Strong roast malt aroma, almost burnt & spicy. In the flavor is some bittersweet chocolate at the front, some sweet dried fruit in the middle and a roasty finish that drys out nicely. A bit thin, but quite drinkable.

Aroma of coffee and licorice, black with a tiny toffee head. Flavour is very light coffee, a little thin for the style, not much bitterness either. Fair. Thanks IPFreely!
