Very dark brown, short lived very small brown head. Aroma of vanilla, also was roasty and kind of sweet. Starts out roasty and malty but gets overpowered by this nasty lactic burst of flavor. Hard to describe, but was sour. Too thin. Needs work.

Black with brown edges; thin, off-white, creamed head. Vanilla sweet nose/aroma. Palate was light, watery and only slightly creamy. Big roastiness, which tries really hard, but seems to miss the mark. Much too sour, which was distracting.

Deeep dark brown/black with no real head. A roasted malt aroma with some sweetness. The flavor is malty with some unsweetened chocolate. Palate was way too thin.

It has a lighter taste that even non-stout drinkers will appreciate. Overall it is average in terms of stouts and above average in terms of all beer types.
