Jan 12, 2004 Very dark brown, short lived very small brown head. Aroma of vanilla, also was roasty and kind of sweet. Starts out roasty and malty but gets overpowered by this nasty lactic burst of flavor. Hard to describe, but was sour. Too thin. Needs work.

Jun 9, 2003 mozambique garnet in color and no lasting head to speak of..some coffee notes in the aroma..absolutely no carbination..coffee flavors with salty tones..mouthfeel feels like cough syrup and eventually starts to taste like cough syrup

Jun 5, 2003 Black with brown edges; thin, off-white, creamed head. Vanilla sweet nose/aroma. Palate was light, watery and only slightly creamy. Big roastiness, which tries really hard, but seems to miss the mark. Much too sour, which was distracting.

Mar 6, 2003 Deeep dark brown/black with no real head. A roasted malt aroma with some sweetness. The flavor is malty with some unsweetened chocolate. Palate was way too thin.
