A great beer with many complexities. Its got some high balance with herbs and spices with tastes of fruits and nice caramel flavor. its palate is nice and thick. It gives off a great presence.

Unclear medium amber orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, raisin, plum, toffee notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (300508)

Aug 10, 2008 Clear dark amber with a huge rocky head, awesome lace. Big aroma of pit fruit jam on wheat toast with a whiff of oxidation. Creamy smooth mouthfeel. Nice flavors are apple skins with cinnamon roll (apple fritter?) sweetness with a spicy warming, boozy bitterness to finish. Tastes like an aged barleywine.

Jul 8, 2008 The aroma is sweet and fruity with yeast, alcohol, and caramel. The appearance is muddy amber with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall I like it but I am not in love.

Jun 16, 2008 [Italian Blind tasting @ yespr, Bottle 12#] Hazy deep amber wih medium off white head. Sweet and spicy aroma with caramel notes. Sweet flavor with toasted malt, caramel, ripe fruits and floral hops. Ends bitter.
