Papsoe (10540), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 8, 2008 (Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Odd fruity aroma with some caramel also. Medium body with fruit and caramel and a whiff of yeast. Somewhat astringent bitter finish. 290508 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 28, 2007 Updated: Aug 3, 2007Bottle, private tasting Cloudy amber...more murky than cloudy actually. Yeasty, tart aroma with notes of raisin and chocolate. Quite yeasty on the palate as well, in that "bottle conditioned beer that’s still going" sort of way. Hints of red currants, vague toast and breadyness. A little fizzy...there’s that overactive bottle ferment again. Finishes slightly tart with a vague fruitiness. The tartness in the nose that I thought held promise I guess was unintentional. Hmm, that was the best part. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 6, 2008 Bottle#12: 75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Light orange fruity and caramel malt aroma. Flavour is mild yeasty and light toasted caramel malt. Light bitterness into the finish. A bit spiced too. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 31, 2008 Bottle #12 at yesprs mafioso blind tasting.
