Bottle: Picked this up at Deliliah’s in Chicago. Good table beer (as a side note the smoking ban in Chicago is great for trying beers in bars). Poured this and it immediately started to overflow. Large, amazingly large, foam. Looked great in the glass: had a medium ruby color with some murkiness. Nose had a sour aroma. It tasted like cherries, tarts, pie and cookie. Nice smooth finish, which is kind of dry. I thought this might be a sour ale, but I guess it is a Belgian strong. Perhaps a bit more sourness would be nice, but overall I enjoyed this quite a bit.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Odd fruity aroma with some caramel also. Medium body with fruit and caramel and a whiff of yeast. Somewhat astringent bitter finish. 290508

courtesy of cigarcitybrew. Pours cloudy amber. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, floral. Taste has some fruits (cherry), yeast. Nice floral addition, using chestnuts flowers. The alcohol is noticable. Very decent Belgian Ale,more goodness out of Italy.

Bottle courtesy of Retorp. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a large light tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of sweet fruit, spicy yeast, and a hint of caramel. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol. Good.

Bottle 75cl @ [ Mafioso Blind Tasting @ yespr, Bottle #12.]
Unclear medium amber orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, raisin, plum, toffee notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (300508)
