Oct 19, 2007 Draft at the brewery in a shaker glass. Pours a darker brown colour with just a film on top. Malt in the aroma. Flavour was slightly sweet with just a touch of bitterness. Better than macro browns.

Apr 10, 2007 Sampled at the brew pub. Clear walnut color with no head. Clean, lightly metallic aroma with light toasted malt and nuts. Malty flavor with toasted grain and hints of molasses. Nothing seems off until it starts to warm and you get a slight hint of sour at the finish. Slightly creamy mouth feel. A drinkable brew, but I’d keep it cold.

Apr 21, 2006 Fruity, yeasty aroma that shows a lot of malt. Aroma reminds me a bit of a doppel, but aley. Clear, ruddy brown. A bit briny, moderately tart, pretty well-bittered and lightly swee3t. Finishes out with an initial tart, plummy jolt, then flattens out to a bitter finish. Session weight, not too fizzy. No nuts, until the aftertaste.
