Commercial Description:
This bright golden pale ale is reminiscent of old world brewing tradition. When drinking the ale savor the caramel malts, imported east Kent goldings hops, and the classic slight buttery aftertaste imparted by authentic London ale yeast. Periodically, you'll find us serve a "cast-conditioned" Pale Ale version of our Goat Hill, if you're patient and search hard enough. This beer derived its name from the location of our Capital building--sitting on top of a Montgomery hill were goats once grazed.

clear amber, frothy white head, light crisp citrus hop aroma, mild sweet malt and citrusy hop flavor, nice bitter finish, the sweet malt and citrus hops continue to tag team all the way to the bottom of the pint glass, a nice english pale ale that’s a bit on the agressive side,

on tap-pours a rich/patchy off white head that laces and gold color. Aroma is mild, nice medium malt, citrusy. Taste is nice citrus-grapefruit rinds-hops, balance/secondary/backbone of medium malt. Medium body.

Tap at the brewpub. The body was clear dark gold with a thin white head. The aroma aroma was oranges with some roasted peanuts. The taste was light grapefruit with some bitterness in the finish. Pretty well balanced and a little on the hoppy side for an APA.

Bright golden orange. Extra malty and cereal-based for a "pale ale." Metallic hop-bitterness that didn’t ride well.

Draught. Pours dark gold with a small fizzy white head, mostly diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is light malt (meal), heavy hops (flower, citrus, pine), and light yeast (dough). Light bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Light sweetness and acidity, heavy bitterness; floral hop flavor.

Orange, tan head. Nicely spicy, savory, peppery aroma. Good malt base up front - caramel and toffee, the usual players - then a peppery, savory hop finish. Pretty tasty. Sampled at the 2005 Music City Brewer’s Fest.

Light citrus, caramel, diacetyls in the nose and flavor. Hoppy, but not over-wrought. This isn't going to set the world on fire, but a good complement to the chow at this pub. Nice clipped hoppy finish, good mouth.

Appearance: Clear coppy body with a foamy, off-white head. Smell: Light pale malt scent set against hop notes of citrus and pine. Taste: Pale maltiness with a touch of caramel sweetness. Hop flavors of pine and citrus. Moderate earthy hop bitterness which lasts into the finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: You know, it’s okay!
