Palate is thin and fizzy, but the flavours hold up I suppose. joergen (8420), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 18, 2008 Draught at GABF 2008.
Black coloured with a medium sized beige head.
Roasted aroma of coffee and chocolate.
Roasted flavour of coffee and grain.
Roasted finish. gotohelunc (473), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 28, 2008 Draft at the brewery. Black pour with a tiny off-white head. Smells like decently roasty coffee. Extremely sharp carbonation masks a lot of the flavor, but makes it pretty easy to drink. The flavors the survive are coffee and dark chocolate with some bitterness coming through in the end. It seemed like it would be a nice sessionable stout, but as it warmed up near the end, it started leaving my mouth kinda soured. Still not a bad brew. gabbama (115), Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, USA Aug 27, 2008 Draft at the brew pub. Subtle chocolate aroma. Dark bown almost opaque with a small tan head. Roasted chocolate flavor with a lasting roasted finish. Fine carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. Overall a very average stout. Very drinkable but nothing about it stands out. BelgianBeerGal (1273), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Oct 19, 2007 Updated: Oct 30, 2008Draft in a pint glass at the brewery. Opaque brown colour with minimal tan head. Chocolate dominates the aroma and flavour. Maybe a little thin, but still nice.
