A tad of toasting and some hops and a little colour, other than that unexceptional beer. On the sweeter side, perhaps the hop shortage is hitting, and active carbonation. gsmitty80 (653), Washington DC, USA

Notes of medium acidity hops and a medium and balanced munich malt. Taste followed accordingly. I enjoyed it and look forward to trying their other beers in the future. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 19, 2007 tap at Murphy’s Law Pub. Pours copper and clear with a small white head. The nose is crisp and German styled. It’s a pretty clean beer with hints of vanilla, paper, corn husks. The finish is noteably sweet, but not cloying at all. Quite refreshing on a hot day in August. shrubber85 (2997), Wallhalben, Germany
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 3, 2007 Tap at brewery. Light caramel malt aroma - just detectable. Golden yellow with a small head. Nice malty flavor with light hint of caramel. Moderate hops - much more than is typical for the style but works nicely. Very well balanced. Very nice.
