NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Aug 21, 2009 on tap at the brewpub. Wow, what an underrated pale ale. This is a hazy gold color with a good head. The nose sports nicely pronounced hops with lots of citrus like clean grapefruit, orange, and some wooden bitterness. The flavor is clean and dry leaning though certainly crisp and refreshing. Lots of citrus is evident in the flavor while maintaining a commendable balance and admirable realization of a now classic American style. Very solid offering. KornDogg (168), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2009 light pale ale but a tad warm and flat... not too impressed with this brewery pintocb (505), Darsville, Georgia, USA Jun 29, 2009 This may have been my fav from our trip. Good malty flavor with great citrus hops. Yum. suchen (81), , Pennsylvania, USA Mar 27, 2009 Not quite as good as Sweetwater’s extra pale, but very close : ). This is a great session beer! Not too bitter, and not too sweet with a low alcohol content makes for a very solid offering. Good job! TaktikMTL (2739), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada Mar 27, 2009 En fût. (Rating #2256) PorterPounder (3131), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Mar 7, 2009 Pint, on tap at the brewpub in Savannah. Light orange pour, nice white head, solid lacing. Slight hint of floral notes in the aroma - fresh. Slight minty notes in the flavor with a slight citrus bent. Nothing really jumps out - just smooth drinking and a good meal accompaniment. Clean, even mouthfeel. ChainGangGuy (2522), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Feb 10, 2009 Appearance: Clear, amber-hued body with a thin, wispy, white head.
Smell: Bright floral, citrusy hop nose with a faint scent of pale malts in back.
Taste: Meager pale maltiness and accompanying sweetness. Flash of florals and lemony citrus followed by a burst of hop bitterness. A touch acidic. Slight, lingering bitterness on the dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A sessionable, low-ABV brew, made with coastal town-visiting tourists in mind. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Feb 9, 2009 Hazy light amber. Lemony, melony hop aroma with a lightly perfumey accent. Smooth body. Lots of grapefruity hops mesh with an overall canteloupey character.
