Feb 1, 2009 The best beer in the sampler, along with the wacky wit. A pretty standard IPA, but good. Dominating grapefruit flavor with some light malt. Some lemon flavor. Nothing unexpected, but very drinkable.

Dec 5, 2008 From a sampler on 10/25/08.. Golden in appearance. Pine hop aroma. Flavor was much the same. Pine hops and grapefruit with some bitterness.

Nov 20, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Slightly cloudy topaz with a small but lasting creamy head that leaves some spotty lace. Nice resin and citrus aroma. Good balance of similar flavors against some malt, with more resin on the finish. Light-medium body is tingly and dry. Not a complex brew, but a tasty hop mix and nice balance makes a very good session ale.

Aug 25, 2008 On tap at Moon River Brewing. Arrived at the table a hazy gold with no head except for a very thin ring that left a few spots of lace. Pleasant aroma of malt and grapefruit. Similar flavor with some grapefruit bitterness at the finish. As the beer warms, some lemon flavor emerges as well. Medium bitterness at the finish.

Jun 13, 2008 Clear apple juice body with white head and nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, pineapple, peach, some grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some pineapple, light catty. Medium body, some resin, light chalk.

May 28, 2008 tap at brewery. small white head into clear golden body with decent lacing. aromas of moderate hops (floral) and almost no malts. flavor is moderately bitter. long finish duration. wish hops were better balanced with slightly more malts. okay.

May 23, 2008 Ratings by Veeve, Back by Popular Demand, on Vacay in the lovely Savannah, Georgia. This beer is found on tap at the MoonRiver restaurant and brewing site on Bay Street in Savannah, GA. This beer was one of my least favorites among the 7 beers of the sampler they were offering yesterday 5/22/08. The description on the menu called it "like its namesake, this strong ale is known for the sneak attack. Hop-heads will enjoy its assertive bitterness and huge, floral, dry hop aroma." However I did find anything about it like "assertive bitterness." Neither the overall flavors, nor the hops were that intense. If anything you could call it "passive aggressive bitterness" which worked but it certainly has NO BITE. This snake while possible of charming you, isn’t a fighter. Run of the mill grass and citrus hops. medium gold hue. thin mouthfeel. finishes very dry. good, not incredible. not biting. could use more hops if a bite is what they are going for.

May 22, 2008 Yellow color, minimum white head. Really bitter, but in a strong nearly unpleasant way. Citrus and orange flavors help to bail things out a bit.
