| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Moon River Brew Tap, Savannah. Nice big hop aroma. Good copper color in the pour. Has a nice IPA flavor, with all sorts of floral hoppy taste. Just a tinge of a grapefruit bite in the palate. The best one I had at the brewery. jhumphries69 (731), Tyrone, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 16, 2007 Poured a deep orange with a thin off-white head. Fragrant citrusy and piney hops hit the nose. The flavor is very well balanced - crystal malts meet an excellent combination of piney bitterness and floral flavor (cascade or centennial hops - perhaps simcoe). An excellently drinkable ale. The finish is medium in body and hoppy. jcwattsrugger (5581), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 11, 2007 on tap-pours a retaining foamy off white head that laces and hazy gold color with effervescence. Aroma is lots of cascade hops-citrus. Taste is lots of cascade hops-citrus, perfumy, bitter, nice. Nice medium malt backbone. OK/mild carbonation. Braudog (3778), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 29, 2007 Draft pint at the brewpub; Dark golden with a subtle activity level. Well presented citric hop aroma ... can’t wait to dive in. It delivers ... citrus hop and a nice lingering floral bitterness. Nice IPA on the lighter side of the spectrum. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 19, 2007 Light orange with a no aroma to speak of. Hoppy and refreshing with a bitterness that is good. Clean. Had at the Moon River Brewery in Savannah. MartinT (5075), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 14, 2007 My Bottom Line:
A complex and fresh perfume of citrusy, wooden, and floral hoppiness carries through into the flavor profile in which smacking resins are balanced by honeyed grain. A clean, quenching, flavorful American IPA which deserves more props.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-Sumptuous foam rests atop the honeyed blond.
-Toasted maltiness is felt alongside its honeyed sweetness.
-Nose is very alluring and intense, yet when tasted these hops never get overbearing (which is great!).
-I have a feeling that some Moon River beers are quite underrated because they do not branch out into extremes, or outside stylistic guidelines for that matter. This was textbook American IPA goodness, and that should always be celebrated in my book.
-I was told this place’s beers have really picked up in the past two years, so maybe it’s time for a revisit, Ratebeerians? ;)

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 24, 2007 Draft. Pours a dark copper red with a fizzy white head that clung to the glass. The aroma is very floral and piney, it smells great! The flavor is very hoppy. Somewhere between an English and an American IPA on the hop scale. It has a pretty dry finish, lacking some malts to balance things out. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 21, 2006 Dark almost red pour. Huge grapefruit hops, aroma of some ganja. But just too damn bitter and kills all other flavors, it’s nothing but grapefruit tasting hops. Where’s the malts?
