Commercial Description:
Like its namesake, this strong ale is known for the sneak attack. Hop-heads will enjoy its assertive bitterness and huge floral, dry hop aroma.

On tap at the Moon River Brewing Company served in a pint. Dark amber with a light head. Slightly bitter, dry and spicey thru the mouthful. Very tasty for my first IPA. I would like to compare it good a English/British IPA. Any suggestion are welcome.

Draught sample at the brewpub. Dark, almost clear amber with a slight ring of head....big citric-hoppy, lightly alcoholic and pungent aroma, grapefruit and bitter orange....woody, fruity, sugary and quite bitter early on, gradually drying at midpalate and becoming very very dry indeed, somewhat earthy and mineralic to finish.....fairly thin, slightly watery, clean and pretty fresh.

(On tap) Pale amber with a delicate, creamy, off-white head leaving laces. Fruity, grapefruity, hoppy nose. Medium body with some caramel, but overwhelmingly dominated by lovely aroma hops leaving quite some bitterness in the finish. 010406

Draught at brew pub. Copper color with very little head. Mild floral hops aroma. Flavor predominated by floral and pine hops. Not as hoppy as some American IPAs.

On cask @ the Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting 2006. I had to pour it out after 3 sips. Enough said.

On cask at the 2006 Atlanta Cask Ale Fest. Pours medium to dark gold. Aroma is fairly malty with very little hops. Very non-descript; missing lots of body, malt, hops, and thin.
