Draft at brewpub. A good looking Porter. Poured a dark brown body with a small medium brown head. A little bakers chocolate in the nose. Somewhat dry chocolate malt and vanilla flavor with a little carmel. Thicker mouthfeel than it first appeared and somewhat oily. Pretty good Porter.

On Draft at Jacksonville’s Follio Weekly Beer and Music Fest. Poured a dark brown to black color with a small, creamy, light brown head. Dark chocolate and caramel aroma. Sweet flavor with lots of chocolate. Full creamy body. Best beer of the Fest!

Had this one on tap at the Classic City Brewfest in Athens GA. This starts with a diminished head on a transparent brown body. Some chocolate in the aroma. The flavor starts with some light malt sweetness and moves to a slightly tangy finish. Overall it was a little thin and underdone. Almost there.

Pours dark nut brown to black with a nice tan head and good lacing. Chocolate and caramel aromas, somewhat nutty nose. Sweet chocolate flavor with a caramel sweetness to the finish. Dark and creamy palate.

Draight at Moon River: This is exactly my kind of porter. Balance between bitterness and sweetness mastered to perfection. Sweet aftertaste.

Caramel, chocolate, coffee malt (M); hint of smoke in the aroma. Deep brown-black body. Moderately sweet flavor becomes a moderately sweet, lightly bitter finish. Medium body, watery/creamy texture, soft carbonation. Some nice dark fruits in the finish. Very mellow. The bottom line is: just doesn’t have any oomph, anywhere.
