Pours a golden yellow. Nose is big on tart white grapes and funk. Taste is fairly tart, nice brett dryness, white wine grapes, lemon zest, and nice floral hops.

On tap at Stone Sourfest 09. Clear yellowish gold pour. Aroma is apple, vinegar, sour. Flavor is light apple, dust. Some funk. Meh.

On tap at ’09 Stone Sour Fest. Wow, a sour IPA. Very weird. Lots of hop bitterness.

32nd taste at Stone Sourfest. Notes are getting a bit sparce at this point. Strong amber color. Tart and yummy. Bit o’ funk.

(Draught) Pours a clear golden body with a spare white ring of tiny bubbles. Aroma of mustiness, lemon, horseblanket, light soap, and herbal notes. Flavor of vinegar, hops (grass, herbal), leather, white grapes, and funkiness with a dry finish.

Tap @ Stone Sour Fest 2009. Pours a mostly clear deep golden color with a small white ring. Nose was very perfumey with some citrus peel and herbal hop notes. Flavor held sweet and sour citrus with some Brett on the back end, different, good.

On tap at the sour ale fest. Clear gold color. Citrus, herbal notes, lemon, slight funk, bread, and a vinegar sourness. I liked it, although it was pretty standard.

On tap at the Stone Sourfest. Mostly transparent, pale blond colored body with a thin head of wispy white. A light, lemony tartness supplements a nose of soft malt melanoidins and a touch of herbal bitterness. Light bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel with a soft malt texture and mild tartness. Some tart, citric-acid like lemon sourness up front on the palate, followed by a softer, bready malt flavor with suggestions of raisin. Mildly tart, but not overly vineger-y or funky. Strangely hoppy, with an herbal hop bitterness that builds in intensity until it leaves a resinous bitter grapefruit pith lingering on the palate. Pleasantly tart, but oddly bitter. This is how I would expect soured Reality Czech to taste. Incredibly distinctive, as I’ve not had anything that comes close to tasting this way before. Strange, but not a bad thing.
