| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 17, 2008 Draft at O’Brien’s. Ruby Color with not much head. Aromas were sour cheer and raspberry. Flavor was much more sour than the aroma had prepared me for. More cherry and other bright fruits. Very tasty. One of the favorites of the night. marcus (1901), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 23, 2007 On tap at Toronado. This brown ale poured with a thin off-white head. The flavor is very sour on top of a somewhat sweet malt base, with a noticeable hop finish. A pretty good combination. I love what NoCal brewers are doing with wild yeast now. nahthan (129), Oakland, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 14, 2007 In a fancy tulip glass at the Toronado. Nice and sour. Very dry and drinkable. Dave’s right - the base beer is evident in this beer, which works with it really well. I really enjoyed this beer. The guy next to me at the bar told me that Brian made this with a wild yeast strain that was running around the brewery, and captured it in some old towels(?). Same guy told me this was about 8% alcohol. If it was, it hit it well. Great stories either way, whether or not they’re true. Apparently there’s a 90 to life out there coming soon? Sounds great to me. Thanks Brian, you’re awesome. ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 20, 2007 Draft @ Toronado. Murky garnet color with only a slight lacing around the glass. Big lactic aroma with some vanillan and malt notes. The base beer is very evident in this brew, it’s pretty cool. Malty with a smooth sourness. The flavor is fairly lactic as well.
